201 methyl silicone oil is a novel organic silicon synthetic material. A colorless, transparent, oily liquid. Its chemical composition is straight chain polymethylsiloxane, the structural formula is:


Because of the stability of si-o bond, the hydrophobicity of methyl, and the structural characteristics of methylsiloxane, the methylsiloxane oil has good heat resistance. The flash point is bright, not volatile, the viscosity coefficient is small, but the compression force is big, the surface tension is small, the chemical property is stable, the electricity (the insulation) property is good, and the resistance water moistureproof, is nontoxic to the organism (including the human). In order to form a film or rubber-like solid material on other surfaces, methyl silicone oil can be cured by heating at high temperature (250-300℃) or by curing with appropriate catalyst (usually peroxide). The temperature range of methyl silicone oil is 50-180℃.

The physical and chemical properties and characteristic parameters of methyl silicone oil with different viscosity are also different. The products are divided into 201-10, 201-50, 201-100, 201-350, 201-500, 201-800, 201-1000 and other grades according to the viscosity. Can also be made according to the user's requirements, other special viscosity specifications of the product.
