A rust-proof and anti-corrosive coating has been developed in China for use as a metal primer. When the metal surface is not completely rust-removed, the coating can be directly applied to the metal surface with good adhesion. Coatings also have the effect of stabilizing, transforming and physically encapsulating rust, transforming harmful rust into useful substances, thereby improving the corrosion resistance of the entire coating. It is based on alkyd resin as a film-forming substance, adding anti-rust pigment and other additives. Adding a silane coupling agent can greatly improve the indicators of the primer, especially the hiding power, drying time, salt water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, etc.
