When the silicone products' manufacturers were producing silicone rubber, we might find that the silicone products which should be original non-colored transparent had turned colored. Silicone rubber has temperature resistance and anti-aging performance, so the finished silicone goods won't be yellow in several years. What reason will lead to these different performances?

The first reason is vulcanizing agents. The effect of ordinary not anti-yellowing vulcanizing agent to bright color is different from the effect of the agent to light color or transparent color. Using the ordinary vulcanizing agent, light or transparent silicone rubber products will obviously be yellowing.

The second reason is the production process. While forming the process of transparent silicone rubber products, too high temperature of machine or long time of vulcanization will cause the finished silicone rubber products to yellow, so we need to control the molding machine’s temperature and vulcanization’s time.

The third reason is the raw material. If adding anti-yellowing vulcanization agent in the production process, the transparent finished silicone rubber products is still yellowing, it might be the raw material that has not had anti-yellowing performance. It may need to change the raw material.
