As soon as the announcement of the activities on January 7 and 9 was launched, the 2020 stock simulation competition attracted the attention of the students of our school of economics and management. Within a few days, the number of applicants for the activities exceeded 350, spanning the undergraduate and graduate schools of economics and management, especially the students of freshmen and sophomores.

The competition lasted for four weeks from January 13 to February 7. In the middle, the competition was suspended for one week due to the Spring Festival holiday and delayed for one day due to the impact of the epidemic. Every day, there are staff in the group to report the income champion, encourage everyone, answer questions for the students, and every week, there are relevant staff to carefully select the stock related knowledge for the competitors and formulate corresponding questions to interact with the competitors. The atmosphere in the group is relaxed and harmonious, and the competition goes smoothly!
In this activity, a number of small experts in stock market were also born. Novel coronavirus pneumonia is the biggest daily yield of nearly 30%. The yield of our daily champion is positive despite the sharp fall in the stock market, despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. The average rate of return of the top ten students in the virtual market reached 20%, among which Huang ran of class 192 of economy won the championship with a rate of return of 43.24%, which was really exciting!
Affected by the epidemic, the students failed to return to school on April 12. In this special case, we successfully held the closing ceremony of the stock market competition in the form of Tencent conference, at which we benefited greatly from the speeches of students and the comments of teacher Yang Xitong.
