At present, the spot price in the DMC market shows a steady upward trend. Leading factories today suspended quotations, keep a wait-and-see attitude; Monomer plants in Yunnan and Inner Mongolia are running smoothly, while another monomer plant that was shut down for maintenance is expected to resume production in mid-March.


From an aftermarket perspective, the supply and demand sides of the DMC market show different dynamics. In terms of supply, the average operating load of domestic monomer plants is at the level of 70% to 80%, showing a strong supply capacity. However, on the demand side, affected by the mentality of buying up rather than buying down, the transaction atmosphere is relatively good. On the cost side, although the price of silicon metal, the main raw material, fell slightly, the price of monochloromethane and methanol remained stable, so the cost side of DMC did not change much.
