Liquid sealant use method, precautions

The liquid sealant refers to a sealing material which is deformed according to the shape of the sealing surface, is not easy to flow, and has a certain adhesiveness. It is used to fill the gap of the configuration to seal the adhesive. It has the functions of anti-leakage, waterproof, anti-vibration, sound insulation and heat insulation.
1,Correct use

Surface treatment: Remove oil, paint, moisture, rust, dust, etc. from the sealing surface before use.

·Gluing: Apply the glue evenly on the sealing surface or thread. The common methods include hand coating, pressure injection, pressure dipping and vacuum dipping.

·Curing: After the film is slightly dry, it is not sticky, and the connection can be fastened. In the curing process of the rubber layer, the temperature and time play an important role, and at the same time, a certain pressure and force are required, and it is generally required to be placed for 24 hours.

· Trimming: Remove the excess rubber edge extruded after pressurization and curing, improve the appearance quality, and be careful not to peel off the adhesive layer during trimming.

2,Precautions

· The joint gap should not be too large. If the gap is larger than 0.2mm, it can be combined with a solid gasket.

· Control the thickness of the adhesive layer to ensure uniformity.

·The sealant should not be compatible with the contact medium. If the material is not used before use, the strip should be tested with the medium after drying. If the strip is dissolved, it should not be used.

· Pay attention to the method of use and storage time, storage environment (the optimal storage environment temperature does not exceed 35 ° C).

· In places with high vibration, it is not advisable to apply the glue coating process.

• The temperature and pressure used should not exceed the range of sealants used.

In the process of home decoration, there is also a place to pay attention to how to do waterproof design when installing home decoration, especially for kitchens, bathrooms and other places where water is used. When the kitchen and bathroom are renovated, if the original wall and floor tiles are knocked out, they will be renovated. Regardless of whether the waterproof layer has been used before, the waterproof layer should be redone before re-applying the wall and floor tiles. The waterproof layer of the surrounding side wall is 200mm high, and there is a bathtub, and the waterproof layer is 200mm above the top of the bathtub. When there is a shower and there is no other waterproof measure, the waterproof layer should be sprayed to all parts of the shower. After the renovation of the water and wet parts such as kitchens and bathrooms, the elevation of the ground should be lower than the elevation of the hall or corridor floor. Stones that are not afraid of water should be installed at the door of the kitchen and bathroom. Waterproofing should be done at the roots to prevent water from seeping from the door to the hall.

If you do not pay attention to these problems during construction, it may result in unsatisfactory sealing effect and loss of leakage prevention. If there is no leakage prevention, clean the sizing surface and re-apply the glue. Different sealants should be used in different construction environments. When the construction site is a facade, high-viscosity products should be used to avoid displacement of the construction site and cause bond cracking.

In addition, the liquid sealant releases irritating gases during the curing process, which is irritating to the human eye and respiratory tract. The alcohol-type neutral gum releases methanol during the curing process. Methanol has a potential carcinogenic hazard and is known to be an allergic skin and respiratory tract. Volatile gases can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat. Therefore, use this product in a well ventilated environment, avoid entering the eyes or contact with the skin for a long time, and do not ingest this product. Keep out of reach of children; the construction site should be well ventilated; if accidentally splashed into the eyes, rinse with water and seek medical attention immediately.
