3、 Special issue description
Novel coronavirus pneumonia has been a strong guarantee for the city since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia. At the same time, the epidemic situation and the corresponding prevention and control measures have also brought extensive and profound impact on the production and life of rural society and various construction undertakings.
In particular, 2020 will be the final year for the decisive victory of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and the decisive battle for poverty alleviation. The epidemic and its prevention and control either reduced employment, or blocked the way out to work, or interrupted the operation of poverty alleviation industries, or restricted the circulation of agricultural products. How should we evaluate and respond to these changes to ensure that the rural areas finish the task of poverty alleviation as scheduled and step into a well-off society in an all-round way?
In the aspect of food supply and demand, China has been faced with enormous pressure on its output and structure, with a high degree of dependence on foreign countries. The epidemic is raging all over the world, and the globalization characterized by large flow is facing challenges. The circulation of food and other products around the world has shown signs of being restricted. What is the impact of such a trend and its consequences on China's agricultural production and food security?
We believe that in the face of an outbreak, academic records, summaries, exchanges and Reflections on its impact and response are important contents of human society's response to catastrophic events, and will guide and urge us to prepare for the next crisis. To this end, novel coronavirus pneumonia (China Agricultural University) is published in 2020, which is the first issue of the special issue entitled "poverty reduction in rural areas 2020: new poverty and safety under the new crown pneumonia". The special issue welcomes research reports, theoretical discussions, empirical studies, comparative analysis of Chinese and foreign historical cases and other types of articles. We hope that our colleagues who are engaged in social science research and practice will be rewarded with excellent works to jointly form a powerful force to deal with the crisis!
