Recently, the National Office of philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of major projects of the National Social Science Fund for the study and interpretation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Professor Lin Wanlong of the school of economics and management of our university, as the chief expert, applied for the project "Research on the establishment of a long-term mechanism to solve relative poverty". The project consists of 1 overall project and 4 sub projects. The members of the project team are composed of experts and scholars from China Agricultural University, central China Normal University, Nanjing University of Finance and economics and other units. Professor Chen qianheng of the school of economics and management and Professor Tang Lixia of the school of Humanities and development are respectively responsible for the two sub topics of the project.
Professor Lin Wanlong's team has been committed to the research of poverty alleviation mechanism and Rural Revitalization Project for a long time. He led the team members to pay close attention to the major national poverty alleviation strategies and policies and did a lot of relevant research, which laid a solid foundation for the successful application of this major project.
The major project of NSFC aims to select the research team with strong research strength and undertake the urgent and significant research tasks of national economic and social development. It is one of the highest level social science research project categories in China, and also one of the important evaluation indexes to measure the research strength of a school and related disciplines. The purpose of this project is to further study the new ideas, new viewpoints and new ideas put forward in the fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, especially to strengthen general secretary Xi Jinping's research and explanation on the important exposition of the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity, vigorously promote theoretical innovation on the basis of practice, and strive to introduce significant achievements with theoretical persuasiveness, practical guiding significance and decision-making reference value. We should publicize and implement the spirit of the plenary session, and provide strong theoretical and academic support to promote the construction of China's national system and governance capacity.
In recent years, our University attaches great importance to the cultivation of national major scientific research projects of Humanities and Social Sciences, gives full play to the incentive, guidance and guarantee role of the system, strengthens the overall planning and organization management of project application, pays attention to team building, gives full play to discipline advantages, highlights research characteristics, cultivates key directions, and constantly improves the quality of project application. This major project of National Social Science Foundation reflects the good momentum of philosophy and social science research and development in our university.
