In order to cultivate students' innovation spirit, guide and encourage students to enhance their awareness of intellectual property rights, and further promote their innovation and entrepreneurship plan, the 11th college students' fantastic idea patent application competition jointly held by the science and technology industry department, the College Youth League Committee and the Graduate School of Nanjing University of information engineering was officially launched on April 26, 2020.
In this group letter, I would like to offer several suggestions for each college:
（1） We will carry out "College Students' patent application competition for technological innovation" throughout the college, and take this student activity as a regular work of the college for a long time.
（2） The college shall organize full-time teachers with rich experience in patent writing and strong scientific research ability to guide students in the whole process of applying for works.
（3） The college set up a "college students patent innovation competition evaluation committee" to evaluate the applied patent works and select excellent works.
（4） To commend the winning works in the whole hospital.
（5） The college actively recommends excellent award-winning works to participate in the "College Students' fantastic idea patent application competition" held by the science and Technology Industry Office of the college; the college will select the best and fully support the application for patent.
（6） If you need training in patent writing, you can contact the science and technology industry department to arrange online training.
The patent competition will be held throughout the year. The science and technology industry division will focus on the evaluation and application of patent application works submitted by colleges to the agency companies on June 30 and November 30 this year. Each college arranges relevant persons in charge to collect the student's entries, submit a technical disclosure material for one patent work, and make a patent list for all works, and send all materials named after the college to zhangli@niust.edu.cn. Students only need to submit electronic materials, not paper.
