Duan Anmin, male, researcher of Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor, winner of national fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is mainly engaged in the research of Qinghai Tibet Plateau Meteorology, sea land air interaction and climate change in the Asian monsoon region. Since July 2003, he has been working in the State Key Laboratory of atmospheric science and geohydrodynamics numerical simulation, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and put forward new ideas on the influence of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau on the subtropical climate pattern in Asia and the multi time scale of monsoon. In 2006-2007, a postdoctoral study was carried out in the Institute of hydrology and marine science, Central University of Taiwan. A coupled model of atmospheric circulation and ocean mixed layer was constructed, which was used as a tool to clarify the main physical process of the local air sea interaction in the Indo Pacific warm pool area affecting the Asian monsoon onset process. It was proposed and proved that the local air sea coupling could overcome the error of the internal convergence zone of the two tropics of the general circulation model (double ITCZ problem) and its mechanism. For the first time, the variation trend of atmospheric heat source over the Qinghai Tibet Plateau is quantitatively calculated by using the observation data. It is found that the uneven distribution of global warming with latitude is the main reason for the weakening of sensible air pump over the plateau. He has presided over a number of general projects of NSFC, national projects of "973 Plan", key projects of NSFC and important direction projects of knowledge innovation project of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has won many awards and honors such as "Zhao Jiuzhang young and middle-aged Science Award".
