After 1978, reform and opening up promoted the vigorous development of the national economy. In the organic silicon industry, Chinese-foreign joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises have sprung up. New technologies, new equipment and new products have been introduced in large numbers and the rapid growth of export products has provided a broad stage for the expansion of organic silicon applications. Especially in the 1980s, the large-scale transfer of world manufacturing to China greatly stimulated the application of organic silicon products and promoted the development of China's organic silicon industry.
