IOTA 3108 RTV phenyl silicone gum is a room temperature vulcanized phenyl silicone rubber with the molecular structure of α,ω-dihydroxy-polydimethyl diphenyl siloxane. It appears as a colorless, transparent oily liquid and is soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. The viscosity at 25°C ranges from 2000 to 100000 mPa.s, with a phenyl content (mol%) between 2.5 and 60.0, and volatile content under 5%. This product offers excellent electrical properties, weather resistance, and ozone resistance, as well as outstanding low-temperature resistance, radiation resistance, ablative resistance, and self-extinguishing properties.
