IOTA 278 is a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid with an epoxy equivalent of 260-340g/equ and a refractive index of 1.500 at 25°C. Its viscosity ranges from 30-50cst. As a toughening and water repellent agent, it improves the mechanical and physical properties of epoxy resin, polyurethane, and polycarbonate products. It is easily incorporated into prepolymers and can be used in copolymerization or molding processes. Proper storage and handling are essential to maintain its 6-month shelf life.
