Introducing Dihydroxydiphenylsilane (DPSD), designated as IOTA R05 and recognized by its CAS number 947-42-2, this chemical compound stands out with its exceptional purity exceeding 98.0%, accounting for its dimer content. DPSD IOTA R05 appears as white needle crystals at standard room temperature of 20°C, adding a visual elegance to its chemical properties. With a well-defined melting point between 118 and 120°C, it maintains a consistent bulk density of around 0.41g/cm³ at 20°C. Its flash point, determined using a closed cup method, is 167°C, highlighting its stability under certain temperature conditions.
