Hydroxy silicone oil typically requires a curing agent for crosslinking and a coupling agent for release paper. The curing agent typically comprises 3 to 5% of the gum base, while the coupling agent constitutes about 0.5 to 1% of the gum base. In most cases, the solvent is first diluted with 10 times the gum base, then the coupling agent and curing agent are added after mixing, and the mixture is coated on the substrate surface for room temperature or heat curing. Curing times vary based on temperature, with room temperature requiring over 30 minutes and 120-150°C requiring just 30 seconds. For sealants and rubber molds, no solvents are needed; just add the curing agent and stir (note the difference between one-component and two-component curing agents), and after 30 to 120 minutes of degassing, it can be cured.
