1、 Project positioning
One belt, one road agricultural cooperation and the other urgent need for high-level agricultural foreign affairs and diplomatic professionals, is jointly organized by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of agriculture and rural affairs and the Graduate School of China Agricultural University, the humanities and Development Institute, to undertake the project of "enhancing the ability of foreign agricultural management of postgraduates", in order to cultivate international foreign affairs and international cooperation in agricultural industry. With the goal of reserve talents, we should explore the construction mechanism of international agricultural talents team, promote the construction of "double first-class" in our university, improve the training level of graduate students, and provide strong talent support for international cooperation and exchange of agriculture in China.
2、 Training objectives
This project is a certificate project ("degree plus" project) aiming at cultivating the reserve team of agricultural foreign affairs diplomacy. It aims to enhance the ability of the students in the concept, knowledge and skills of agricultural foreign affairs diplomacy, cultivate the high-level students who love the motherland, have broad international vision and forward-looking thinking of foreign affairs, master certain scientific knowledge of agricultural frontier and have certain foreign affairs diplomacy ability inter-disciplinary talent.
3、 Project features
One
Internationalization: focus on the international arena, broaden the global perspective, and offer special lectures, including courses of diplomacy, international law, foreign affairs management, agricultural international organizations, foreign affairs practice and other modules, to help students understand and master the knowledge of agricultural foreign affairs management, and expand the international perspective.
Two
Practicality: pay attention to practical exercise, train senior compound to provide practice opportunities for students, organize students to visit and carry out practical activities in the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, its affiliated enterprises and institutions, international organizations in China and other departments, and deepen students' understanding and understanding of all aspects of agricultural foreign affairs.

High level: carefully select and hire teachers, provide high-quality courses to provide internship practice opportunities for students, organize students to visit and carry out practical activities in the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas and its affiliated enterprises and institutions, international organizations in China and other departments, and deepen students' understanding and understanding of all aspects of agricultural foreign affairs.
4、 Enrollment target
China Agricultural University full-time in school graduate students and students of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas.
5、 Training methods and contents
1. Teaching method: online learning, special lecture, classroom discussion and practice.
2. Teaching language: Bilingual Teaching in Chinese and English.
3. Teacher selection: carefully select and employ excellent teachers from ministries and universities such as the Ministry of agriculture and rural affairs, the Ministry of foreign affairs, China Agricultural University and the school of foreign affairs, as well as experts with long-term overseas experience and foreign diplomatic experience and senior managers of foreign-related enterprises.
4. Training content: it consists of three modules: knowledge learning, foreign affairs ability improvement and practice practice.
Module 1: global agricultural progress
It mainly includes the contemporary global agricultural development frontier, modern agricultural engineering and intelligent agriculture, global agricultural economy, rural governance and other topics.
Module 2: Foreign Affairs capability improvement
It mainly includes foreign affairs and international law, international relations and typical cases, foreign affairs English and foreign affairs official document writing, foreign affairs reception and training, introduction of agricultural international organizations, etc.
Module 3: international organization practice
Organize graduate students to visit the China Office of international organizations, and practice in the Foreign Affairs Department of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas and its affiliated enterprises and institutions. The total time for students to visit and practice shall not be less than 4 weeks.
5. Time arrangement: there are two stages.
The first stage: online course learning, Q & A, discussion, to start in early May. (follow up notice of specific arrangement)
The second stage: including face-to-face courses, classroom discussion, practice, etc. the specific arrangement will be notified after the school back to school program is determined.
6、 Requirements for obtaining certificates
Assessment method: Based on the course attendance, classroom participation, discussion and exchange, participation in the practice organized by the school, project report and defense organized by the group, the students are comprehensively assessed.
After the students have completed all the modules, those who pass the examination are allowed to complete the course, and the graduate school will issue the certificate of "graduate agricultural foreign affairs management ability improvement" project of China Agricultural University.
7、 Project application process
1. Project registration
(1) Application materials:
(i) Application form (students inside and outside the school fill in different application forms, see the appendix for details);
(II) evidence of foreign language performance;
(III) resume.
(2) Application method: please send the electronic version of the above application materials to wmy10@cau.edu.cn by email before 5:00 p.m. on April 26, and submit the scanning copy of the signed and sealed version of the application form after returning to school.
The off campus students shall be registered by the office of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas.
(3) Notes for application: applicants should have a good command of English, and can communicate in English; postgraduates should be approved by their tutors, and off campus personnel should be recommended by the company.
2. Interview and publicity
After submitting the application, the graduate school will publish the list of qualified candidates in the preliminary examination on the website of the graduate school before April 29, 2020; the final list of qualified candidates will be determined after the online interview of experts. The specific time of interview will be notified later.
8、 Other instructions
There is no tuition fee for this project. The expenditure of curriculum teaching and practice is supported by the special fund of graduate school. Students in and out of the school can solve their own accommodation and transportation costs due to project study and practice.
