IOTA 3108 can be used as a potting material for various electrical components, as an impregnated impression and release material, and as an adhesive component. It is widely applied in insulation materials for aircraft and spacecraft, nuclear radiation protection coatings, and can be used to produce seals, gaskets, pipes, and rods that are resistant to cold, burns, heat aging, and radiation. Even at low temperatures of -120°C, the material remains elastic. By adding a certain amount of heat-resistant additives, it is suitable for ablative putty, coatings, and encapsulation for special applications.
